The Shelter is located in Toxia South Edge. Complete with private rooms, lounge, kitchen, and classroom.

The Shelter has many functions....

It is an in character faction and OOC support group for new players to immediately have a home, meet other players just starting out as well, and learn all about the city. We encourage all new players to join the Shelter

The shelter holds classes whether it be for basic role play, specific role play, or combat training. These classes are given by volunteer citizens and are open to anyone and everyone to attend.

Rumors have been heard throughout the city of a new faction coming to power. The sophisticated minds of the Illuminati, seemingly innocent and true, is but a mere facade to what lies beneath. Where one will be researching at their desk another slits the throat of a misguided informant within the darkness. Their combined purpose to achieve power in Toxian City. They are the elite group of assassins, scientists and spies. Do you have the courage to join our noble ranks?

 

Before the catastrophe many moons ago ...Toxia was home to the Turbo Ryders. The Turbo Ryders were street Bikers who loved to party and play hard. After the disaster those who survived resumed their lust for life as the forever scarred Toxic Ryders; now having banded together in one house they ride the streets of the Toxian City fighting the creatures who plague them and when provoked defend what they have left from all who would take it from them.

Systems of truth in the field of morals and ethics are not absolute: they vary by culture, by religion, and over time. A collection of individuals that differ theologically in many ways, banding together determined to not to be fully encompassed by the evil that blankets this town; to assist, to keep hope alive, and for survival. As a whole they believe in the inherent worth of every being; that even the darkest souls are not completely lost. They believe in the importance of education for self defense of the mind and the body and promotes individual assessment of evil influences. They are against discrimination and are for freedom of speech, association and expression, with the exception of advocating genocide. They are known as the Righteous, some call them heroes; they call it a choice. What is yours?

Throughout history, beings that have shown a talent with the paranormal have been shunned. In Europe the Council of Paderborn in 785 forbade the belief in so called witches, and Charlemagne later made it a law. During the Salem witch trials, people were killed if they were even accused of being a witch or warlock. Unfortunately, most of the people that were accused were innocent while the truly gifted stayed in hiding. Psychics were looked down upon as frauds as people mocked them. With the disaster that fell upon the city of Toxia, these beings have emerged. Forgiving at heart, they do not hold a grudge against those that hunted them. Instead, they use their gifts for a prolonged peace.

Worn by generations of persecution, their view of the world around them grew cynical. Gone are the days when they practiced in silence. Now they make their presence known at every opportunity. In their eyes anyone that has a problem with the idea of co-existence will, quite simply, no longer exist. They are a family, and fiercely protective of their family ideal.

They are The Coven, and their motto is simple. "Join us, or get out of the way."

The Continuum: The Innovative Survivalists of Toxian Society.

Disaster hit in the beginning stages of a technological evolution. All organized corporate research came to a screeching halt in the city along with all manufacturing. The city was littered with what was to become. Sifting through the debris, adept individuals picked up where the tech evolution was thought to have died in its infancy and moved it far beyond where its creators dreamed it could be. Limited only by existing hardware, these techno-geeks were dedicated and determined on surviving and thriving in this black hole of technology, and they enjoy the freedom of being without governmental limitations normally found in modern society.

The Continuum is collection of unique individuals with varying degrees of progressive elements and strengths in the areas of technology, cybernetics, and genetics. Pooling their many areas of expertise, they bind together for strength, innovation, and growth. Technology combined with knowledge are their weapons and their means for survival.

The Continuum is on a search for like minded Cybernetics, Mutants, and Humans to be Implant junkies, Street Docs, Techno geeks, Researchers, Cybernetic soldiers, Mechanics, and much more

Vampires are considered mythological or folkloric beings in the world outside of Toxia. In folkloric tales, undead vampires often visited loved ones and caused mischief or deaths in the neighborhoods they inhabited when they were alive. They wore shrouds and were often described as bloated and of ruddy or dark countenance, markedly different from today’s gaunt, pale and defined vampire which dates from the early Nineteenth Century. However, what is considered to be mythological or folkloric is nothing but real and the truth. Welcome To Toxia, where everything you thought was once a dream has become a reality and for those of you that have known the reality? Welcome to where you belong.

The Reckoning was formed in Toxia and is a vampire associated clan that welcomes all backgrounds and societies. An alliance has been formed as a whole to strengthen the vampire race and to stop all the petty differences and grudges. You may see the Reckoning as a collective, a group of Vampires bound together to grow stronger than any other vampire society has ever been. The tools of the Reckoning are the chaos and lawless anarchy of Toxian city, it's desolate isolation and eternal gloom, and our own vampiric cunning and strength.

We are the Pack and we are strong, not because of one but for us all standing together! We are tight. We are family. In this hostile city of Toxia we will not fall, but rise up and be proud of what we are! Believe us when we say that we will do our best to keep what we have and protect each other till the end. All of us have been through the same hell in one way or another and we are in this together, so NO ONE will stand alone, but all of us as one.

The Pack was born long ago when times were even darker than they are now, when werewolves in this place had no shelter. I can remember when a few wolves led by the first Alpha, Alexandru, grouped together to form the Pack of Toxia, a home and family for all of our kind who don't want to be alone anymore. So here I stand, telling you of our history as the current Alpha! So if you seek shelter, a home, food and family, find us and see if your worthy to join the Pack...and you who are pack already, be proud to be one of us!

For many months the strays had wandered the city of Toxia as individuals, their ability to find shelter and prey even in the decaying and hostile environment of Toxia led them to grow stronger and increase in number. Slowly the race of felines began to be recognized as a group. Felines hunt to satisfy their own needs/wants/desires. In a Pride, the strong might eat first, but the strong also bring kits food. We're sly... that's what it comes down to. Not in your face like dogs, not demons, not goodie two-shoes. We're those sly characters that work our way into every house if needed and whether as a pet or as a rawr cat... get what we want. We're Prowlers.

The Prowlers are comprised of Felines of all kinds and types. Living together, accepting, and encouraging each other to live up to the ideal of their nature. They respect the differences between the various types, between the house cats, the tomcats, and the predators. From the cute and cuddly, the wild and mangy, to the sweet-toothed and mean. They accept each other, recognizing these diverse traits as the fragile thread that binds them together and gives them strength. As the very thing that makes to look upon each other as family. All of them related to by their common goal and purpose to support each other to be themselves in this city that threatens to break them into something they are not.

The Prowlers see themselves as the most devoted to Feline way of life. Taking it upon themselves to work hard to maintain the values of being a feline. Whatever kind of Feline they may be. They see their evolution to be an enhancement to their feline
